Abstract

This study was conducted in Aswan Governorate, “Wadi Al-Naqra”, and the sample size reached 351 respondents, which is a simple random sample. The data was collected through the researcher’s personal interview with the respondents using a questionnaire that was designed for this purpose during the months of October and November 2023. The researcher used it to tabulate the data. It was analyzed using numerical tally tables, percentages, the coefficient of congruence (K2), and the simple correlation coefficient. The most important results were the following: There was a significant relationship at a significant level of 0.01 between the variables of gender, academic qualification, marital status, job, and residence of the respondents and the extent of feeling about the values of citizenship. The Chi-square values calculated, respectively, reached 278.315, 430.847, 397.878, 351.532, and 171.025, which is greater than its tabular counterpart, and therefore the previous statistic can be completely rejected and the alternative research hypothesis accepted. There is a significant correlation between the variables: age, monthly income, number of family members, agricultural possession of the respondents, and the extent of feeling about the values of citizenship, where the calculated values of the simple correlation coefficient reached, respectively, 260, 335, 408, and 434. Therefore, the previous statistic can be completely rejected and accepted. The Chi-square values calculated respectively reached 2106.000, 1521.000, 589.210, 906.032, which is larger than its tabular counterpart and therefore the statistic can be rejected.
